Books about Srinivasa Ramanujan, the man who knew infinity
Srinivasa Ramanujan, who is also known as the ‘man who knew infinity’, did not receive any formal education in Mathematics but made important contributions to the field of mathematics. The mathematical genius made an in-depth analysis in order to solve mathematical problems using new ideas and concepts. His genius has been regarded by mathematicians to be at par with that of Euler and Jacobi. He independently discovered nearly 3,900 results (mostly identities and equations). Ramanujan’s work includes Ramanujan prime, Ramanujan theta function, partition formula, and mock theta functions. Former PM Manmohan Singh declared his birth anniversary as National Mathematics Day.
